Lady Ganga: Nilza's Story
The inspiring documentary Lady Ganga has been three years in the making...and a short version of the film has just been released FREE for everyone to view! I'm very proud of the Lady Ganga team and to be involved as a backer of this Kickstarter project!
The short version 'Lady Ganga: Nilza's Story', tells the amazing story of Michele Baldwin who broke a world record in order to spread awareness about the cancer that was killing her and parallels a story of a woman in Northern India who was going on a journey of her own. It will be dubbed into as many languages as possible to help spread the message to women around the world, especially those in remote locations who don't have access to regular medical screening.
The goal of the global #LadyGanga movement is to eradicate cervical cancer within our lifetime.
Cervical cancer is an entirely PREVENTABLE cancer, caused by a highly prevalent, sexually transmitted virus called HPV. 80% of ALL people under 50 years of age will be exposed to HPV at some point in their lives. Globally, HPV causes many types of cancers in both MEN and WOMEN. However, with regular screening and vaccinating ourselves and children (girls & boys) with the HPV vaccine, cervical cancer can be eliminated.
