Dine With Heart

Dine With Heart

If there's one thing Melbourne is known for, it's being the foodie capital of Australia! And, with no shortage of culinary delights to sample throughout the city, Dine With Heart offers the perfect opportunity to eat good, do good and feel good!

Benefiting the Sacred Heart Mission, Dine With Heart is a month-long celebration of food and community. Participating restaurants, cafes and bars across Melbourne are joining forces in May to raise money for Sacred Heart Mission's Meals Program, which provides free meals to 400 people in need every day of the year.  It costs the Mission $4 to provide a person with a meal, so for the cost of a coffee, you could help to feed someone in need.

Throughout the month of May you'll be able to donate at the end of your meal, or purchase a meal, knowing that a portion of that money will be donated directly to the Mission. Last year restaurants and cafes across Melbourne helped the Mission raise $115K, with that amount covering the cost of 28,750 meals for people experiencing homelessness, disadvantage and social isolation.

G'Day Girl had the pleasure of attending the exclusive media preview and tasting evening at Sacred Heart Mission to get a sneak peek of what to expect during Dine With Heart month.  On hand were chefs from some of Melbourne's tops restaurants; check out the photos of their tasty creations below!
